🇧🇾 The command of the 5th Special Forces Brigade of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus condemned the plans to participate in the war against Ukraine. These are normal officers. And Lukashenka can thus undermine Putin's efforts to draw the army of Belarus into the war with Ukraine.

Undoubtedly, the main word today is Zmiinyi. Apparently, there was just as much talk about Zmiinyi only on the day when the Russian ship arrived there. Then the ship left - forever, and now the island is free again. I am grateful to the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, the fighters of "Alpha", I am grateful to our gunners, pilots of the army aviation and Air Force, the command of "Oleksandriya".

I had a telephone conversation with General Mark MILLEY, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Admiral Sir Tony RADAKIN, Chief of the British Defence Staff, last night. I began with the fact that the enemy demonstrates remarkable audacity in launching missile strikes on the territory of our state. So, 4 days ago, the enemy fired 53 cruise missiles from various platforms, 3 days ago - 26 missiles, 2 days ago - almost 40, and 12 in the last 24 hours. Unfortunately, targeted missile fire at the shopping mall in Kremenchuk took lives and resulted in injury to civilians. I informed my American and British colleagues about the operational situation. Today, the area of active hostilities begins in the north of Kharkiv region and ends on the left bank of the Dnipro in the area of Vasylivka settlement. The most intense hostilities are conducted in the north of Luhansk and Kharkiv regions. In this area, in the last 24 hours alone, the enemy carried out 270 artillery raids, using 45,000 rounds of ammunition, 2 missile and 32 air strikes. The situation is very difficult but controlled. A fierce struggle continues on our soil, the scale of which the world has not seen since the Second World War. We have no right to hand over this war to our children. The enemy must be destroyed here and now, otherwise, it will not stop. And we can do that. Our people are ready to protect their own nation and own children at the expense of their own lives, but we need more weapons and ammunition. I hope that, together with our partners, we will be able to overcome the aggressor and prevent the spread of this armed conflict to other countries. @CinCAFU

With scant options in Ukraine, U.S. and allies prepare for long war The United States and its allies are making preparations for a prolonged conflict in Ukraine, officials said, as the Biden administration attempts to deny Russia victory by surging military aid to Kyiv while scrambling to ease the war’s destabilizing effects on world hunger and the global economy. President Biden’s announcement this week of an additional $1 billion in security aid for Ukraine, the single largest tranche of U.S. assistance to date, offered the latest proof of Washington’s determination to ensure Ukraine can survive a punishing battle for the eastern Donbas region. European nations including Germany and Slovakia unveiled their own shipments of advanced weapons, including helicopters and multiple-launch rocket systems. “We’re here to dig in our spurs,” Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said after convening dozens of nations in Brussels to pledge greater support for Kyiv. Here's the latest on key battlegrounds in Ukraine. Severodonetsk: Ukrainian officials said they now control about half of the city. British defense officials said Monday that “heavy fighting continues” here, and Russian forces continue to push toward Slovyansk. Elsewhere in Luhansk: Regional police say Russia has shelled a humanitarian aid facility in Lysychansk. Authorities said Sunday they were investigating the strike as a potential war crime. On the same day, 98 people were evacuated from Lysychansk. Kyiv: For the first time in over a month, Russian rockets struck Kyiv, shattering the city’s sense of tentative safety. Britain’s Defense Ministry said Russia was probably attempting to disrupt the supply of Western military equipment to Ukrainian troops by striking rail infrastructure. Mykolaiv oblast: Authorities reported a “mass rocket attack” early Sunday, saying Ukrainian defense systems had destroyed two of the incoming missiles and the others had targeted several cities. As Battles Rage, Ukraine Rejects Macron Plea not to ‘Humiliate’ Russia As Ukrainian troops tried to claw back territory and stave off a blistering Russian assault along the country’s embattled eastern front, the government on Saturday sought also to repel a demand earlier in the day by President Emmanuel Macron of France that Moscow not be humiliated to improve chances of reaching a diplomatic solution. “We must not humiliate Russia so that the day when the fighting stops we can build an exit ramp through diplomatic means,” Mr. Macron, who has sought to position himself as the world’s chief negotiator with the Kremlin, said in an interview with French newspapers. “I am convinced that it is France’s role to be a mediating power.” Ukraine’s foreign minister, Dmytro Kuleba, responded with a scathing post on social media. “Calls to avoid humiliation of Russia can only humiliate France and every other country that would call for it,” Mr. Kuleba wrote.
